Challenge Accepted. The Daily Post has challenged us for a weekly photo challenge, for which we post on our blog on or before the following Friday from the day we received our assignment. For today’s post, we were challenge to post a picture that shows partnership.
PARTNERS. Whether two of a kind or ten, give us subjects that are in sync with one another — show us partnerships.
The image above were taken 6 years ago during our trip to Tagaytay, Philippines. It was the last time we had most of us together as a family on a vacation. I love how this photograph was taken candidly. My children raised to be best buds. An image I have used widely across my devices as my lock screen. Soon will occupy one of my walls too.
This image strongly reminds me of how siblings should be. Partners. Support system. Confidante. Best friends.
Siblings should watch each other’s back through thick or thin.
They are related by blood.
Blood is thicker than water.
That is how our parents raised us. And we’re pretty happy that we grew up a closely knit family. We, siblings, consult each other when life gets rough and tough. Nothing gets in between us. We are raised that money shouldn’t keep us apart. When one is financially-ill, we pitch in. Not equally. But how much we can spare. And that’s how I want my kids raised as well. We hope this relationship would last our lifetime and beyond.
Siblings. Our true companion in life when the going gets tough.
